Calendar and Tournaments
 
 
The South Head Maori Tournament is held on the Club's course on or around Waitangi Day weekend each year and is stroke play over 18 holes. Check the Golfing Programme for exact dates.
 
The Tournament is open to all players with the field restricted to 140 players on a first-come-first-in basis. Visiting players come from far and wide and often outnumber South Head Club members. Tee times are arranged to accommodate travelling players.
 
The entry fee includes  an attractive prize table , a substantive meal, followed by a great social evening (usually Karaoke).
 
Prizes are awarded for the best gross-, nett-, and Stableford in Men's and  Ladies division.
 
The South Head Open Men and Women Championships are held in early May each year. Check the Golfing Programme for exact dates. The format is Strokeplay over 18 holes off the Championship (Blue) tees..
 
The Championships are open to all players with a NZGA handicap.
 
 The Championship is awarded to the man and woman player with the best gross score on the day.
 
The Club's principal sponsor for the event is JK's World of Golf, who provide the prize table. Prizes are awarded for the best gross-, nett-, and Stableford scores in three Men's divisions based on handicaps determined by the Golfing Committee, and a Ladies division.
 
The Claude and Shawn Gyde Venison Day Tournament is a highly popular tournament played in early August each year. Check the Golfing Programme for exact dates.
 
The Tournament is open to all players with the field restricted to 128 players on a first-come-first-in basis. The tournament is always well supported by visiting players eager for a fun day and the chance of winning one of the sought after venison packs.
  
The tournament typically commences with a shotgun start at 10:00 am sharp followed by a meal and socialising before the prize giving ceremony.
 
Prizes are awarded for the best gross-, nett-, and Stableford scores in three men and one women's division.
 
This tournament is sponsored jointly by the Steedman and Webber families to commemorate the contributions of their parents and grandparents Helen Steedman and Reg Webber who both were founding members of the Club.
 
The tournament is held on the second Saturday in November each year and is open to all players (members and non-members). 
Prizes are awarded for best gross-, net-, and stableford scores in men and ladies divisions based on entry numbers. 
 
All proceeds go towards development of the South Head golf course.
